One suggestion I have for the Hotel get gear available for shore dives on secrets property. Great job to all the staff of Dive House. Due to the quick reaction of the dive team my dive was saved.

I surfaced and they hooked up a new regulator and I was back at 25' in less than a min after my free flow. I also went on a night dive with them-I did have an emergency during this dive an o-ring blew on my pressure gauge going into free flow the crew and dive master responded quickly this happened 2 min into the dive at a depth of 25'. Dive House dive shop was great they are very safety conscious and explained safety and dive plan for each dive. Vicky pool wait staff was great but other severs we just gave up on and went to get our own drinks and food when she was not there. Turn down service and daily news/activity letter were non existent until the last night. Accommodations and checkin were great we had no problems. After the 1st two nights we started getting to the restaurant at about 5:50 pm.
Food service is still slow, it's not bad if you go to the evening meal at 6pm and your one of the first in line but if you get there between 6:30-8pm don't plan on getting served or seated for 1-2 hours. First the food was leaps and bounds above last years.
Don't get me wrong they still have work to do, but they are improving. We decided to give them a second chance and it was much improved over last years quality of facilities. Our first trip was February 2013 that trip had-its problems read last years review. My wife and another couple just returned from our 2nd trip to this resort February 7-12. It's just sad that I was told I could leave my comments when I left if I wasn't happy!!!!! Nice way to treat your guest don't you think!!! I won't be back to that resort ever!!! The Cozumel palace is 100 times better and they know how to treat there guests!!! I will be writing apple as well as I booked through them. Needless to say I paid more for my room and boy was it a waste!!! Don't do it! Oh and don't ask for any special requests for drinks in your room or you just won't ever get restocked!!! I swear they punish you if you ask for anything. And yes there are really nice room in that section!!! I had another couple show me there room and it was awesome! It's a brand new section of the hotel. Now I wouldn't be writing this review if there was something she would have done for me you know like offer to move me to the actual preferred rooms. Next no hot water! None!!! And my room was missing a shade that covered the bathroom so you had to make sure your blinds were completely closed if you wanted to take that cold shower.
But luckily the water was like ice so no one swam in it. Ok first off patio door didn't lock so I had to put a stick in the door every time I left the room!!! Wouldn't have been such a big deal if I was in the second floor. Made multiple complaints regarding my room and nothing was take care of!!!! And she acted like it was normal. This would have been an amazing trip if I didn't have the sub par swim up preferred club room!!! The staff was wonderful with the exception of the woman in the preferred concierge.
