Speaking to your very first point about background noise though, there isn't much you'll be able to do software or hardware wise to mitigate that AND still keep the fidelity you want for ASMR content. In short: Get an interface with two XLR inputs, and something like the 3.5mm to dual XLR adapter. However, the input impedances are different, you have multiple inline signal adapters, and multiple points of potential failure- ie it's a sloppy setup just begging for something to go wrong. You could buy a 3.5mm to dual XLR adapter, run the left channel into the XLR input, and then use an XLR to 1/4'' adapter to get the right channel into the line input- and theoretically this would work. This immediately removes the entire functionality of binaural audio and thus there would quite literally be no point in owning that mic. If you buy a single 3.5mm to XLR adapter and plug it into the only XLR input, you will summing the left and right stereo channels together into a single, mono signal. The scarlet solo has one XLR input and one 1/4'' line input. Binaural audio requires the end user to hear the left and right channels independently as a true stereo sound field. This 3.5mm jack carries the signal for both the left and right channels.
